I9300 sound out connection other than headphone jack?
I watch a lot of movies on my I9300. I connect my 5.1 tuner via the headphone jack. The jack is wearing out. It will never last as long as the one on my old I7000 did. I watched hundreds of movies on it over 6 years! Is there a device to plug into a USB port that will take my RCA jacks?

Not that I am aware of. You have some other options, however:
1. You could get a USB sound card, such as the Creative Labs Live! 5.1 External (about $50)
2. A PCMCIA sound card such as the Cretive Labs Audigy ZS (about $100)
3. Your laptop should have a 7-pin port which looks like an S-Video port that can take a dongle which provides S-Video, composite video and s/pdif connections. You could then use the s/pdif connection to connect to your 5.1 system. I've never used a 9300, but my 9100 and E1705 (9400) both have them.

I understand your 9400 supports S/PDIF then. I'm just wondering, cause i've seen all this posts complaining about the missing I/O connector and I'm a bit afraid of putting mine to the test ...
The fact that the system manual doens't mention it (despite the user's manual doing so) also doens't help much, need someone who has tried it...
tks for feedback!
