IDT Audio Control Panel

Hey everyone.   I recently noticed when i went into the IDT Audio Control Panel of my Alienware m17x r3, that only part of the functionality works.  The main page works, but nothing else seems to work right.  Waves lets me move the sliders but won't save the settings; none of the equaliser pre-sets work; if i try to put the icon onto the system tray - which is how i discovered the problem, the icon disappeared - i get a message that the IDT Audio Control Panel has stopped working.  I don't know if it's come into conflict with something all of a sudden; the only change i made was adding malwarebytes to my software selection. I have tried upgrading and rolling back the drivers, uninstalling and doing a factory disc re-install of the audio... nothing works to get all the settings back.  Any help would be groovy.  thanks all!  pics of the issue available on request.
