INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error while trying to install Windows Server on Dell E5530

Dear Experts

I have got a new Dell E5530 laptop with 1TB HD and 8GB RAM. I am trying to install windows server 2003 on it and getting BSOD with this error

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF5C63848,0xC0000034,0x0000034,0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I tried googling this issue and tried several options (Including f7 key at initial stage) but couldn't find the solution.

Please help me solving this

Regards

Hi

I am able to resolve the issue by incorporating the SATA driver in Win XP installation using nlite software.

Thanks for the support

Hi Atif107,

I did some research online and found this article. You may refer to the link http://bit.ly/1i15Jfc for the same.

Please change the SATA operation in BIOS from AHCI to ATA and check for functionality.

Hope this helps!

Please feel free to reach out for further assistance.

Hi

Thanks for your input. Changing the SATA operation from AHCI to ATA worked for windows XP (32 Bit) installation

this would be a dual OS system. Now the problem is if i change SATA operation from AHCI to ATA, then it does not recognize my windows 7 installation. I also tried downloading SATA and AHCI drivers from Dell website but installation was not successful. One saying the system does not meet the software requirement and other saying incompatible hardware.I need to install Win XP professional drivers

I am also struggling to get the correct Network card driver for this machine as i tried two drivers listed here (Win XP professional)

ftp://ftp.dell.com/Pages/Drivers/latitude-e5530.html but they both failed during installation.

The Hardware ID is

ethernet
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1681&SUBSYS_053D1028&REV_10\4&13CC24E9&0&00E6
Network
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0082&SUBSYS_13218086&REV_34\4&1A90DCB8&0&00E1

Please let me know how to proceed

Regards

Hi Atif107,

Please confirm if you are trying to install windows XP and windows 7 simultaneously on the system. Or you are trying to install windows 7 and windows server 2003 on the system.

Please share the exact operating system you need the drivers for.

  • You may download the drivers from the link http://dell.to/17A32fI.
  • Click drop down arrow to select the Operating System you need the drivers for.
  • Under category Network, select the right network drivers accordingly and click “Download File” and save the file on desktop.

Note: according to the hardware ID’s, you may download the following drivers:

  • Intel WiDi Application
  • Broadcom 57XX Driver

Run the downloaded file and restart the system.

Hope this helps!

Please feel free to reach out for further assistance.
