In house service

I have a service person coming to home to fix the laptop tomorrow.

It's under warranty.

Do I need to pay him anything? Like a tip?

Good question. I've had several Dell techs come to my residence over the years and it never crossed my mind to tip them. They've all been professional and never did I feel obligated or awkward about it. And I certainly never had any tech wait at the door or put his hand out.

So I'd say no. I suppose it's a personal choice but would you tip a plumber, an electrician, a Maytag repair man?

Cheers!

Alot of the times the techs could come from owning there own business since this is a  third party in home warranty service so thing about that also
Would you tip the owner of the resturant if they where the ones serving you they are alreayd getting all the money from the food they are making there profit not like a waitress that only gets 3 dollars an hour and then lives on the tips
