Inspirion 1150 Resolution Problems

I had to install a new hard drive. Now the only Resolution I get is the 16bit 32. I have intstalled the cyberlink DVD DX 5.1 and the patch many times with no changes to resolution and Chat hasn't help me much Any advice I will take. Thank you
