I was hoping to avoid the mother board replacement for a connector that is at most $5, and can be replaced by good technician in less than 5min.

Does anyone have any details on this connector ?

Replacing the motherboard in this unit seems like a bad investment - $300 on a two your old computer seems like a bad choice.
