I couldn't locate an x64 Modem driver  Have you tried the XP driver?

I already have this one installed but still have the yellow question mark in the task manager that says base system device so I guess it is something else.
Also in the processors there is already two AMD Turion that as far as the task manager says work fine.
Anyway I tried to install the driver but it asked me if I wanted to remove the installed programs or something like that, so definitely that wan is already installed.
I also tried manually (windows wizard) installing the drivers but the wizard didn't recognize it.

About the modem I tried the 32 bit version and the installation process looks to go fine until the end when it says failed. I also tried running it with XP compatibility but in this case in the part of the installation process where i have to chose what to install i have an empty list to chose from.

Thanks anyway.

For anybody still looking for this info....

On the Inspiron 1501, the unknown "Base System Device" is the Ricoh MMC/SD Card Reader.  On the Details tab, I saw the device ID contained "ven_1180".  I Googled that string and found that it equated to Ricoh, and the only Ricoh device/driver in the machine is the memory card reader.

Download the Ricoh R5C823 driver from your Drivers & Downloads page.  I don't believe there is a 64bit version of this driver yet.
