Inspiron 1501-red on startup

Recently, my Dell Inspiron 1501 has started flashing a red screen at me during startup. Right before it brings up the actual welcome screen, I see a completely red screen for about 3-5 seconds.  Does anyone know why this is happening? Or is this happening to anyone else?  I have run the diagnostics at the boot screen, and it says that there are "no problems found"..So, I have no idea.   Thanks to anyone who can point me in any direction to try next.
