Inspiron 1525 default bios sysadmin password

Need to default password  for  system administrator to complete bios upgrade. This can not be done due to boot seq., options in bios setup are untouchable

without this password. Not original owner, just inherited this stumbling block. Most of technical information I have found, this one has been a project. HELP!

acdacanay,

Not sure if this will help, but try depressing the "Insert" key while booting. I had a problem with boot seq being locked. It worked for me.  Also if you now the rightfull owner, go to Dell's sight and have it transfered into your name. Then you can get the password from them. Good Luck

You need to have the original owner contact Dell about obtaining the system-specific master password - there is no generic password, nor is there a bypass for it.
