Reseat (remove and reinstall) the drive. If it's then still not found, replace it with a new one. You can use any 2.5" 9.5 mm SATA notebook drive as a replacement.
Many thanks ejn63. Tried to reseat as suggested and no luck. Strange this would just go. All been fine up till now. UK based so will have to get onto Dell UK. Disappointed in product if hard drive is no good after this amount of time and use. Thanks again for your quick help.
