Inspiron 1545 LCD/Video Not Working
A Friends' LCD Screen was Damage during a Fall. Screen was cracked, and was just a bright blur after power on. Plugging external monitor in did not work either. System will come on, but not able to see anything on either the LCD nor the external monitor. Replaced Both the LCD cable and screen and still nothing comes up on either. However when i disconnect the cable from either the motherboard or the screen, the external monitor starts working. System runs fine after that, will stay up and is completely usable after that. But after trying to connect the lcd i get nothing. Could this be bad hardware purchased as replacement parts, or does this seem more like a onboard video issue with the motherboard.
Parts Number on the Replacement cable matched that of Dell's Suggested replacement part. Screen Replacement met all the criteria as well.
Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I would request you to provide few details about the issue for me to assist you better.
Is it an issue with the display on the LCD screen or the external monitor? Do you want to have the display on both the external monitor and LCD screen simultaneously?
I am sending you a friend request so that it will be easy for you to send me the system details like Service Tag in private message only.
In the meantime, I would research on this issue and would get back to you for future course of action.
Thanks and Regards

It seems to be an issue with the LCD. I would like to use the LCD screen rather than external. The external will only work if i unplug the LCD Cable from either the motherboard, or back of screen. I have bought replacements for both the cable and screen, and i still get same results.
