Inspiron 17 user profile trouble

I am still not able to use my laptop as the thing won't or can't load user profile, all I get is the message user profile service failed the logon. I ran the F12 at start up and performed the extended diagnostic test which tells me everything is just peachy. PLEASE HELP THIS WRETCHED SOUL!! Thanks in advance.

A very simple fix to the issue is restoring to an earlier date. See complete steps @ user profile service

Hi jmmorri69,

Welcome to Dell Community.

Please run the diagnostics againto check the hardware functionality. Here are the steps:

  • Restart the system and immediately start tapping the 'F12' key to enter the 'Boot Menu'.
  • Use the 'Down Arrow' key to highlight the 'Diagnostics' option. Press the 'Enter' key.
  • The diagnostics will begin. Please note the exact error message/code, if any appears on the screen.
