Inspiron 22oo Ethernet drivers needed

I just went through the whole list of drivers for the Inspiron 2200, and NONE of them installed my ethernet drivers!  I did it while on the phone with a Dell Tech, and did everything he said. Still Nadda.
Neither of us(me AND the tech) can find the correct driver installation file. One person mentioned the chipset file, but I did that; nothing.

The whole problem started after installing the software for my son's iPod on my inspiron.  It changed ONE Windows file and corrupted the WHOLE SYSTEM.  So I had to reinstall everything, and found out this morning that several drivers were still missing. We got all but the ethernet back.

Can somebody PLEASE tell me where to get the Broadcom ethernet drivers for an Inspiron 2200?  I also remember the name Precision 330 PCI being on there too.  Any ideas about that?
I am desperate! MY husband will be returning from Iraq in a week, and the internet is our only means of communication at this time, so I'm stuck on his old computer at the moment, which is about 5 years old or more... He usually can only get on when I'm sleeping, and I had it set where it would wake me when he signed on, and since it was a laptop, I was able to keep it right next to my bed. His is an old desktop in the living room which I can't move.

Somebody please help...

Just to let anyone who read my previous message know:

MY COMPUTER'S FIXED!!! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much, Mona(Dell Tech Support)!!!!  You and the guy I talked to this morning were a Godsend.

I hope that anyone else who comes across this same problem with their Inspirons will take this advice from me:

1. ALWAYS call Dell Tech support FIRST!!! If you don't, you could make the mistake of going through a seriously complicated procedure to reinstall and reprogram everything just to find out that there was a file hidden on the computer that could have saved everything.  I found out the hard way about it, and I lost everything on my computer before someone told me.

2. DON'T try over and over again to reboot your system during a failure. You may do more damage than good.

3. Make sure you have a backup disk of all your drivers, as well as back up everything you couldn't bear to lose at least once a month. Use either an external hard drive(recommended) or storage DVDs.  Thanks to my external, my karaoke system was the only thing that survived the crash. I would've lost almost 200GB of files in the karaoke system alone.

4. If you have an Inspiron, double-check compatibility with OTHER Inspiron drivers with a Tech. The tech who helped me finally correct my problem(Mona) found that the Inspiron 1200 and 2200 use the SAME ethernet network drivers. We couldn't find a driver on the 2200 page, but we used the one on the 1200 page and my computer's back to the net again!!!

THANK YOU DELL TECH SUPPORT AND MONA!!!!
