Inspiron 3800 Keyboard problems

My keyboard is again not functioning-- AT TIMES-- on certain rows of keys (0, P, ;, /)   In other words, they will work for awhile then all of a sudden stop.  This was a problem before but fixed about 6-12 months ago when the keyboard was replaced by Dell as a factory recall.  I've tried the following:

       1. Removing all power and holding down power key for 25 seconds.
       2. Tightened the screws on the bottom
       3. Tried to Flash BIOS (wouldn't let me since my current one was up to date)
       4. Installed brand new memory
       5. Let keyboard sit idle for a long time with no power hooked to it.
       6. Ran Dell Diagnostics and keyboard passed all tests--at least at that time.
Please give me any other advice.  I have yet to pop and clean keys.

If anybody knows if Dell is still "liable" for fixing this right since it was an earlier recall, let me know.

the problem is that if they already replaced the keyboard and you are out of warranty then you have 90 days of warranty on the part but you are saying that already passed 6-12 months. I can tell you that you tried almost all the t/s steps and probably you will need to replace the keyboard this time. looks that is an internal problem in the keyboard. if you try an external keyboard that should work without any problem. the other thing is that is random problem so it more hard to isolate the problem.

Check the Latitude forum thread about this issue (see link in the FAQ Q6   http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_input&message.id=14096). I would try popping out the keyboard, cleaning/reseating the connector, insulating the keyboard from the metal cage as some posters suggest.
