Inspiron 5759 usb 3 driver query
Hi all,
A usb 3.0 drive is not listed on the driver page for the Inspiron 5759.
Is it included in the chipset driver?

Since Windows 8 has a native in-box USB 3.0 driver. Intel is not releasing a specific Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller driver for Windows 8. This also applies to Windows 10.

On the Dell support site there is an driver available for the 5759, but it is for WIN7, see Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver.
Which operating system is installed?

Windows 10. Sorry I should have said. After looking in the Device Manager, the default Microsoft driver is installed for the USB 3.0 host controller.
Do I need to download an Intel one or is it included in the chipset driver I downloaded from Dell support section?

Fair enough. Guess I'll stick with the default MS one then :)
