Inspiron 6000 Not Booting

Question

Hi   Inspiron 6000 not booting when i press the on the buttton the laptop comes on but only for about 5 sec then turns off i can hear the hardisk spin when i turn it on but am not sure what it could be also the screen does not come on Thanks for any help Message Edited by Spooks on 12-25-2005 12:47 PM

i would say you need to call dell since you are covered and get it fixed. maybe a motherboard, sorry

try using only one slot and change slots and sticks to see if it's a bad slot/stick.

how long have you had it?

sounds like a motherboard, you could pull out the hard drive and cd to see if you can get to the bios screen.
