Inspiron 6000 battery issue/indicator light question
My Inspiron 6000's battery light is flashing orange. Can anyone tell me what the light directly next to the battery light is for? It flashes orange and then occassionally flashes green. The power light is fine.
My battery does not work at all. I can only use the laptop while it is plugged in. When I looked up the Control Panel/Printers and Other Hardware/Power Options/Power Meter tab, it shows that the battery is 93% charged. My warranty is expired but I spoke with someone from Dell yesterday who checked and said my battery is not recalled.
I searched this sight and found that the flashing orange battery light indicates "Fatal Battery Failure". I'll buy a new battery if I have to but I don't want to purchase one only to find out that there is another problem.
Thanks in advance,
Tara
