Inspiron 600M memory types

Question

Hi   Can someone give me a definitive answer regarding what memory types can the Inspiron 600M handle?   I have PC2100 (266hz) SD RAM in my 600M but I have been told that I could use the PC2700 RAM (300Hz) in my machine also.   Someone has told me that I shouldn't use the PC2700 RAM becuase it wont work with my machine.   Any help will be appreicated

you could use PC2700 ddr in 600m, but it will be down-clocked to PC2100.   in fact my 600m shipped with PC2700 memories, but it will only run at 266mhz (not 333mhz), as shown in bios setting.
