Inspiron 8100, RAM issues
Hi there
I got two questions concerning the Inspiron 8100:
1. What type of RAM is used for the Inspiron 8100?
(thats the easy one...)
2. Is there any chance of upgrading it beyond 512MB.
I know the system specification says 512MB RAM max,
but may be some BIOS upgrade or memory configuration or
whatever else may help too boost it to 768MB or may be even 1GB.
I appreciate every help.

It's PC133 SDRAM. Ordering from somewhere like Crucial that guarantees to match you with the RAM your notebook takes is a good idea.
Sadly, I have never heard on these boards or anywhere else of the 8100 accepting more than its maximum 512MB of RAM.
