Inspiron B130 replacement battery options?

I've had my Inspiron B130 laptop for about a year and a half now.  Ive already had to replace the adaptor cord, but am now considering a new battery altogether. The life of my battery, when unplugged, gives me only about 25-30 minutes before it dies. I travel a lot and frequent coffee shops, etc. with my laptop so sometimes It'd be useful to get a lot more power without plugging in.

I've browsed the net on my own looking for options, but it's difficult to find stuff that I'm certain will be compatable. Many options are obsecenely expensive as well, so I'm hesitant to make such an uninformed decision. Does anyone know of good options that are A) compatible with the Inspiron B130 B)not gonna cost me a couple hundred bucks C) gonna give me 2 or 3+ hours of power, or more (and not burn out in just a year like my current battery...)

Thanks in advance for any help,

Mark

Now is not a good time to shop for replacement laptop batteries because the worldwide supply of batteries is severely crimped due to a fire at a major manufacturer.  Prices have gone skyhigh and some laptop manufacturers are not able to sell as many laptops as they would like because they can't get enough new batteries.

If you can wait it out, it would be best to shop around a little later to see if prices go down.  Genuine Dell batteries bought from dell will be compatible with your laptop for sure.  If you buy from elsewhere, make sure you understand their return policy as well as warranty terms so that you have recourse if the battery is not compatible or does not work for very long.

About 2 months ago, I purchased a 53 WHR Battery from Dell for my Dell Inspiron B130

I use SpeedswitchXP on my laptop an i can now go on battery power for about 4 hours.

The 53 WHR Battery from Dell, looks like the price increased about $30.
