Inspiron Mini wireless switch question

I have an Inspiron Mini 1012 running Windows 7 with the wireless switch enable/disable software running (shows in the tray).  When i hit F2, the enable/disable dialogue comes up and i have check/uncheck the box to turn the wifi on or off.  Is there any way to make the default behavior for F2 to automatically switch the wifi WITHOUT having to click the box?  Wifi is the only radio on this netbook and it is annoying to have to hit F2 and then click a box to turn on/off the wireless.

On Latitudes with control point or quickset you can cycle whichever radios you want by hitting the switch or Fn F2.  The settings for this are in the software and/or the Bios.  So why doesn't the inspiron work this way?
