Inspiron N5110 Display Problems

While doing some research, my screen washed out and has vertical/horizontal lines that are constantly refreshing. The laptop is 2 years old and has an Intel and Radeon Graphics Card.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I ran the LCD test and all the colors appeared but the washed out refresh is still occurring. I did connect an external monitor earlier. The picture was clear but blue or magenta.

Hi cmkpro,

Check if there is any issue with the LCD by running LCD BIST (Built in Self-test). To run the LCD BIST, press and hold the D key on the keyboard while pressing the power button, then release both at the same time. This will initiate A grey screen, then Red, then Blue, then Green then White, to allow you to inspect the entire LCD for color purity on each screen and to better identify defect such as cracks in the LCD or stuck pixels that may not be apparent in a normal viewing mode.

Also connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if you are getting a clear image. Reply with your findings
