I would recommend you to follow the steps mentioned below to check the the hard drive status in BIOS.
Restart the computer.
As the computer boots, press when the Dell Splash Screen appears.
Look for fixed HDD on the main screen.
In case hard drive is detecting in BIOS, try to load system BIOS to default by Pressing F9 and press F10 to save and exit.
