Inspiron Windows 7 boot loop
When I start my Inspiron N5050 with windows 7 it get's to the startup screen of window 7, but gets there in a loop with a black screen. Start up in all save mode results in the same loop.
Running diagnostics results in the following message:
Error code 2000-0142
Validation 30401
Msg: Hard Drive 0 - S/N S2TDJB0C118836, self test unsuccessful. Status = 7
Has anyone an idea what's the problem or a solution?

if under warranty, contact Dell

Your hard drive has failed -you will need a new, 2.5" 9.5 or 7 mm SATA notebook drive.
