Hi efex731,

This error code indicates it is a HDD failure. The only option is to replace the HDD. Let me know the region you belong to, to provide the contact information to purchase the HDD.

That won't be necessary, I live a town over from dell and have a friend who works for them that probably has an extra one I can have. Another question though, so its not a problem of system files I can replace? Also will I be able to connect it to a working computer via USB and copy any needed files before trashing it or is there no way of knowing until I try?

Hi efex731,

To go to ‘Safe Mode’ restart the system and at the Dell logo tap the F8 key every two seconds. In the ‘Advanced Boot options’  window using arrow keys, select ‘Safe  Mode’ and hit enter. Reply to this post for further assistnace.

Hi efex731,

In case the system boots to windows, you will be able to back up the data. If the system is not booting at all, even into safe mode, you may try connecting via USB to another working computer and check if you can retrieve the data. If that does not work, the next option is to take the system to any local technician to retrieve the data.

Ok great, thank you for the info! I'm not sure how to boot into safe mode with this system :/ or I would try that. Thanks again for your assistance!

Ok another update, system has booted up :D I'm not sure if I'm in safe mode or the system repair worked. I remember on older OS it would show safe mode in the corner of the screen but I dont see that.

Ok so, first boot in safe mode was unsuccessful. After entering safe mode it just showed the default background and nothing happened for 10-15 mins. Restarted this time with safe mode with command prompt and loaded up command prompt and startup repair after a while. Startup repairs been up about 1 hour I guess and nothings happened.

Hi efex73,

Thank you for the update. If ‘Safe Mode’ is not listed on all four corners of the display, the system has started normally.
