Inspitron 17R se 7720 overheating

Hi, i've had my inspiron for little over a year now and recently requested the assistance of a technician to have my harddrive replaced. I  have since had slight problems with the laptop getting slightly hotter than usual which have now escalated to the laptop overheating and shutting down when i try to play the games i used to have no trouble playing. I have tried cleaning the air vent and re-installing both graphic drivers as well as the bios and yet the problem persists, what can I do

Hi sn0w leopard12,

I would suggest that you run the diagnostics on the computer after the above steps by following the steps mentioned in the video below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.
