Audio driver: SigmaTel HD Audio Codec-Driver: Exactly chipset is "SigmaTel STAC 9288 HD Audio Codec" Note that I cannot find the matched XP driver for this though there are many Sigmatel 92XX drivers. (Seems the STAC 9288 is a very new HD audio codec chip that only Vista driver is availiable) The R158235.EXE is the correct Dell official XP audio driver for M1330... http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R158235.EXE 3. Hi Sam,

Thanks a ton! Now my machine is indeed able to go into Hibernate mode. So this is a big big big relief!

The display options have also increased, understandably. The only one thing that still does not quite work is the "Fn +F1" key combination that typically works for the Hibernate/Sleep option. I dont know how to make that work. Please let me know if you know that too. Nevertheless, the real problem is indeed solved. So, many thanks to you for helping me out!

regards,

Kay

Hello Sam,

Thank you for that pointer!!! I just installed the quickset driver and things have fallen in place just perfectly :).

Now, the keys are getting mapped just fine and it seems that there are no more open issues as such!!

I must admit, you're amazing at this! Thank you once again for the help!!!

Best Regards,

Kay
