Intermittent connection to power adapter
The power to my Inspiron 1150 keeps fading in and out. One second it will show that I am connected to the AC, and the next the battery. For awhile I was able to wiggle the cord and stay connected, but lately that doesn't help. It doesn't seem to be the adapter, because I tried a brand new one and it is no better. I don't see anything obviously wrong with the connector on the computer. Any ideas?

Replace the jack (requires a shop versed in soldering); $150 or so, or
Replace the system board ($400-500).
