Is memory stick compatible?

I use a Latitude CPi-A notebook. I wanted to upgrade memory so I bought an Elpida 256MB 32x64 PC133 SD 8C 144-Pin Laptop SODIMM The stick fits but when I installed the memory the screen stays black during boot up. Can this memory work if I update video drivers or is it just incompatible in general. When I took the memory out and put the old one in the screen boots but was shaky with lots of blips here and there. It has since stabilized. Please advise so I can return the memory stick if it can't work with my notebook..

It isn't going to work. CPiA max is 2X128M, low density PC66 RAM.

I tried finding memory for my Lattitude CPi-A but
Parts-People only has memory for the Latitude C810 C610 C510 C400

Where can I find more memory for this thing?
