Keyboard backlight

Hello,

I have an Inspiron 17 5758, and I would like to have the backlight for the keyboard on all the time.  I can use FN F10 to dim it and turn it completely off, but there is no way that I can find to have it left on.

My Windows Mobility Center does not have a keyboard option, and my keyboard settings do not have any reference to the backlight.

I have googled it to death, so I'm hoping that someone here might be able to offer me direction.

Thanks,

Paula

Keyboard Backlighting should be listed under Keyboard Brightness in the Mobility Center.

I don't see it there on your photo. You sure backlit keyboard is installed on your laptop?  Click on the link below and enter your service tag, click on original configuration. Look and see if you have a backlit keyboard installed.

Well the keys light up when I type, and FN F10 will dim the light and turn it off completely, so there has to be something installed. I have no idea what driver is for what. I thought it was quickset that controlled it, but I don't have it installed, and I can't find one for this laptop.

I just assumed if I could dim it and turn it completely off I should be able to have it on all the time. Maybe I'm wrong.
