Keyboard issues
I have an Insp 5000 series running Win 10 last updates seem to have been seven days ago. I was typing away this evening and the keyboard quit. I can use the onscreen keyboard and I can input my PIN number on log in from the number pad but not the numbers on the keyboard. I have done multiple restarts and checked the control panels for clues and found none. I had a similar problem today at work with some desktop machines, not Dell units. I restarted them and saw updates install which solved the problem but no soap yet on this device. I can't get keyboard function in any application including web browsers. Anybody know what it could be?

Hi RockWestfahl,
As I see that onscreen keyboard works it should be a hardware issue. I’d suggest that you update BIOS on your computer to check for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS from BIOS section onto the system and install it.
