Keyboard letters/numbers

Question

I had to replace my keyboard now four times since I received my laptop. The problem is that the letters and numbers are being rubbed? of every time after 3-6 months of use (I am due for a new one again!). Fortunate I got an extended warranty that will expire next year, so I can get new keyboards until then I guess. I think it is a flaw in the manufacture of this keyboard type as previously used computer keyboards never had this problem. I have raised this issue with Dell support people with no reply at all. And hope that through this forum I may get a lasting solution.

This topic has already been covered. Dell will replace the entire keyboard if the system is still under warranty. If it is not, I recommend looking at the following posts:

Thanks to all, I have read through all the posts here. I have come to the best solution for myself. I am going to my Office Max store today and buying 1/4' white sans Serif decals for my keyboard.  I am way out of warrenty.  I too feel Dell should give us decals to replace the wearing letters either with our new computers or able to buy later.    Rox
