L502x Freezing During Game Play

My Dell XPS 15 L502x keeps freezing and locking up when I try to play games such as World of Warcraft, Everquest 2 and Allods Online. The system becomes unresponsive and a loud obnoxious buzzing sound comes out of the speakers. If on the very rare occasion I manage to get to the task manager, I end the game process but it doesn't actually end. I am forced to do a hard reboot by holding down the power button to switch if off and then back on again.

I have done the hardware diagnostic checks and nothing seems to come up, I have done a clean install of windows twice, I have tried different drivers for graphics and audio, installing drivers from the manufacturers website and also the drivers that came on the Dell Drivers Disc and it is still freezing during game play. I paid a lot of money for this laptop and paid out extra for the extended warranty, I just want a laptop that can run games. Which is what I paid for. I have contacted support who tried to tell me it was software issues and wanted me to pay to get help with the solution station.

I have read many forum posts where people have the exact same issue and they say that Dell are terrible at providing basic support.

Please help me fix my laptop Dell.

If it is doing only during online game play i might suspect the network adapter. Are you connected to your network via a wireless network adapter or are you hard wired. If it is wireless then attempt to connect on the wire and see if your problem still occurs. Make sure all drivers are current and up to date.

Hope this finds you well.

Install the DirectX June 2010 Patch and Run Wow in Directx 9 mode.

This patch applies to all versions of windows XP  / VISTA / WIN7 / WIN8

DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) - Microsoft

The other "issue" with wow.  On the OPTIONS for the Launcher Check the box that says Launch 32 bit client.

The 64 bit client crashes in windows AND in OSX on my macbook Pro.

In video options DISABLE Sunshafts if it is enabled.
