Laptop key not sticking

So I recently found that my N key isn't sticking right.  When I checked it, I found that the clips on the key itself seem to be broken.  The retainer and th sticky button in the center work fine.  I'm currently not able to get replacement keys easily.  Can I use tape as a temporary solution?  Also, should I remove the N key while carrying the laptop around to keep it from damaging the other keys?

Hi Mick1984,

You will have to replace the keyboard itself as it would be difficult finding a single key as a part. Tape may not work out as it may press the neighboring key or the same key without being pressed. Removing the key may open up the system circuit wherein dust can go into the keyboard.

Keep in mind it's a laptop key.  Only the cap's clips are broken.  The sticky button and retainer are both fine.

Hi Mick1984,

Unfortunately dell doesn’t sell the clip as individual parts you will need to replace the entire keyboard. However you can check it with the local computer technician.
