Laptop keyboard issue
I ran Check Disk on my Inspiron 1520 today, now keyboard/touch pad is inoperable.
Checked Keyboard properties on Control Panel..it says device configs in registry are damaged or incomplete..code 19.
What can i do, sys restore to old restoral point? Load new drivers? Reload XP Home?

Thanks for the reply. I just ran Check Disk this A.M., thats all. Keyboard hasn't worked since. DVD is fine

I think code 19 is the usual problem for DVD drive error or malfunction. I am not sure if restoring back to a certain point of time will fix it. What did you do before having this type of problem?

Welcome to the Community. I suggest you backup your data, and try a system restore or even a PC restore to fix this. Error code 19 means its a corruption in the registry. Use the below link to do a System Resore/PC restore/Reinstall Windows on your computer.
