Latitude D610 Power button issues.
Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Latitude D610 which is normally connected to a docking station. As long as the laptop is connected to a docking station, the power button works perfectly; i.e I can power the laptop on or off.
However when the laptop is not connected via the docking station the power button does not work. Even if the power cable is connected I am unable to power the laptop on. The power cable works and the battery charges if connected so its not the cable. If the machine is connected via the dock, then the power button works great as well so its not the power button either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Pramod Venugopal

Thanks for your response.
The power button on the laptop is used and it works great while docked in.
However when the same button is used to power on the machine when it is not docked does not work.
