Latitude E5450 Ubuntu install errors.

Just got my new E5450 and decided to re-install ubuntu to take advantage of full disk encryption and piece of mind that no bundled packages have been included. Install goes along fine right until the end before I get the error  “[Errno 5] Input/output error” next the installer quits and I have an unbootable disk.

Tried 

- Full dell diagnostics to eliminate hardware fault. 
- USB install 14.04
- USB install 15.10
- USB Live boot then install 14.04
- USB Live boot then install 15.10
- CD install 14.04
- CD install 15.10
- CD Live boot then install 14.04
- CD Live boot then install 15.10

Always the same error.
