Latitude E5530 non-vpro Win 7 64 bit can't update BIOS from A09 to A16

I have tried to update from Windows and from a DOS USB. No errors, but after reboot the BIOS version has not changed.

We are on the same boat.

I have several E5530 non-Vpro Windows 10 64bit machine stuck on A02.

A lot of people is complaining on this issue.

Of course, dos flashing is not OS related so we can exclude that.

From dos usb key, the flashing seems to conclude but the bios stays on the current version.

I tried A03 bios for starters and other versions. From legacy boot and uefi.

Tried swapping rams from 4Gb to 2Gb. There is no bios password if someone is guessing.

E5530 is lacking bios recovery options to force overwriting. ***

E5530 non-vpro Bios is connected to the Broadcom truemanage chip (networking) so I'm guessing if a firmware update on that can solve the issue. I'll have to downgrade the OS to make it compatible to the flashing packages (old ones as Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Integrated Controller has been sold to Qlogic and I'm not really sure they took care of laptops hw compatibility as this is also a server chip).

Waiting for a Dell Professional enlightenment while losing time on this.
