Are you running second generation CPU w/ Intel HD Graphics 3000/2000?
If you are not running second gen.(sandy bridge chipset) you are using Intel HD graphics which is OpenGL 2.1.

Hi dgkpcon,
no, the E6510 laptop has i5 vPro not second generation. So the graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics. In any case, the programs that I have work with the minimum version of OpenGL 2.0 ... and do not work.
Driver issue?
