I get no display at all on the screen. I used to get a feintdisplay after I first did the change but nothing since, the computer won't even detect it anymore on the desktop when I look in screen resolution
I will try update the BIOS although I'm not sure that's the problem as it was working fine on the current BIOS until I tried to change it

Sounds like the screen was changed with an incompatible one, or that the screen's electronics board is faulty.

Is the screen the exact same model number (including the last three digits) as the original?

Hi, yes it is the exact same model. The original one (had a crack down the middle but the top half still worked) doesn't show up or detect either
