Mapping Home/End/PgUp/PgDn functionality to Fn+arrows combinations on Inspiron 7720. Is it possible?

The question is in the subject.

There are no functionality on Fn+arrows combinations by default.

I've tried different approaches, but none of them can EVEN DETECT Fn+any non F1-F12 key press.

Any ideas how can this be done?

Hi M1shk4,

Unfortunately, there is no other way to map the Fn key. This is working as designed.

So there is no way to map Home on Fn+Left, for example?

Hi M1shk4,

This is working as designed. The combinations are pre-configured from the factory.

Hi M1shk4,

Unfortunately, it may not be possible. After doing some research, I was able to find Autohotkey software. AutoHotkey is a free, open-source macro-creation and automation software utility that allows you to automate repetitive tasks. Here is the link http://bit.ly/LWW4

We have not tested this software. You may try this. It might help.

Tried that some time ago - Autohotkey is not detecting Fn + any key combination, so it can't be remapped that way.

Hello, I've got the same issue and looking forward to assign Fn+arrows combination to some actions. The present lattitude 7720 keyboard layout is strongly incovinient for advanced text editing since PgUp, PgDn, Home, End, Del, Ins key are too far from arrows and one has to lift and move the arm far aside and then return it back. Such combinations as Ctrl+Shift+Home  turn out to be quite irritative to use.

Have there been any changes to solve the topic? Meybe, some BIOS update could help?

I've had no luck so far, except for using Alt+Arrows combos(not very convenient, since my IDE relies on Alt key a lot).

P.S. Не могу ни принять, ни отклонить запрос на дружбу :(
