My screen has a pink tint...HELP!

I just got my new Inspiron E1505 today and I noticed that the screen has a pink tint to it. I have tried changing the color profile, backgroud settings, background colors and a few other settings and nothing helps. I think it is either the LCD screen or the video card. Any help would be great!

Connect it to an external monitor and see if the pink tint is on the external monitor. If it is then the problem is with your graphics card. If it is not then the issue is with your LCD.

Just talked to tech support again and it looks like I will be getting a new laptop. Thanks cowboy for the idea.

Well I just tried what you said and it looks better on the monitor. So, I guess it is the laptop screen. I wonder though if they all have a pink tint to them.

hmm - that's interesting; a backlight failing on a new inspiron 1505. the backlights usually last a few years.
