My touchscreen isn't working correctly

Every time I go on my laptop (Inspiron 15 5000 series), the touchscreen works for a while, and then it won't. The only way to use my touchscreen again is to shut down and the restart my laptop. This isn't a major problem, but it is an inconvenience. Is anyone else having the same problem? Is there a way to fix this?
