N5110 keyboard issues
I am having very strange issues with my keys jumping as I type. these are the keys that are affected (on the qwerty keyboard):
T\Y
G\H
B\N
I'm thinking it's a hardware problem. The laptop is two years old and I have a 3 year premium warranty on it. The tech support people have tried to get me to do a factory reset, but I'm not in the mood to reinstall everything that's on my machine. does anyone in this forum have any knowledge of or anything similar happen to them? if so, how did you resolve it?
thanks so much for your suggestions.

Press F12 at powerup and run the Dell diagnostics - among which is a full keyboard test. It's likely you have a worn keyboard in need of being replaced.

thanks for your suggestion; the Dell tech did that remotely the other day, and I just tried it again for lack of anything better to do. After a couple of hours of running, my laptop passed all tests with flying colors - so, if in fact my keyboard is just worn out, it will be the second keyboard that will have to be replaced. This machine is just a lemon from the get-go, so I'll be contacting the Dell people to send me a new one as per my warranty.
