Need Help with Laptop Screen saver

Question

I have a Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop. The screen goes black every 30 seconds. I turned off the screen saver in Control Panel. I do not know how to fix this. Please help. Thank you.

Did you check the power options in Control Panel? There you should be able to set the display timeout. What Operationg System are you using?

Windows XP is the OS.

If your running on batteries I think the default setting are for it to turn off the monitor after 30 seconds. You can adjust that in the power settings under control panel.
