New Dell Studio 17 (1440x900 w/ Radeon HD) - Is it possible to set this to 1680 x 1050 on an external monitor? (apple cinema display)
Hello,
I am looking into buying the new 17 inch Dell Studio laptop. I already have a 20 inch Apple Cinema Display monitor that can use the HDMI connection.
Is it possible to set this laptop to 1680 x 1050 to use on the external monitor?
Or do I need to purchase the laptop with a 1920 x 1200 for this to work?

Don't worry. You can buy the one with 1440X900 resolution, and it will work perfectly. When you'll connect your laptop to your external monitor with your HDMI cable, the laptop wil automatically resize the resolution to fit the size of your Apple Cinema Display.
