New Vid Card = New Bios?

Hello all,

I am thinking about throwing out my Defective Radeon 7500 on my Inspiron 8100 and getting a Radeon 9000 with the same RAM.  Do I need to get a new BIOS as well?  If so, where and will it work.  I've heard that this upgrade has worked well for some other people in the recent past.
