Thanks for your reply, without taking the screen apart is there anywhere or way of finding out the part number.

The part number you'll need is on the back of the screen you have now.
The service manual is here:

Tried the service tag but it does not give you the model number for the screen, any more help please
You can see if it's listed at support.dell.com (use the service tag).
The "original configuration" should list the Dell part number for the screen (support.dell.com, enter service tag). Otherwise, the only way to know for sure is to remove the panel - the number is on the label on the back of the screen.
