No bootable device error, and ePSA says Hard Drive - Not Installed

Went to have breakfast, and came back to find a black screen with a "no bootable drive" (or device, something), and asking me to do diagnostics.

When into ePSA Pre-boot System Assesment.  Everything is fine, but for Hard Drive:

Event log shows:

"Fail PSA V4228 Error 2000:0155. Hard Drive - Not installed"

Laptop: Inspiron 7000 Series 7537 BTX Base

Hard Drive: 500GB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache

Received the computer yesterday, and it was working fine all evening and early this morning.  Now I get this error.

Please let me know the next steps to try.

more details on boot message.  It stays on the dell screen for a long time, then gives a black screen with:

"No Boot Device Found.  Press any key to reboot the machine."

Most likely the drive has failed.   You can try reconnecting it (see service manual below) but if the drive is not seen thereafter, it's toast - call Dell for warranty replacement.

Followed the steps to remove the cover, then the battery, then the hard drive.  Unplugged hard drive, reseated the cable and put it all back together again.

Holy ***, it worked.

Thanks!
