Not wireless network adapters(any help?)

Question

I'm using an usb chord for internet right now. So heres the problem I downloaded a game called rf online yesterday more than likely it was a bad link cause a warning unknown publisher in red came up and i ignored anyway. So that messed up my comp and then my computer got bricked and my roommate had to reinstall everything on my computer, so then i reinstalled the game with a valid link this time no negative warnings and now i am not able to find wireless networks  in a university with wireless connection everywhere could someone help me please.

yes to all, the wireless internet was working last night after the reinstallation process but not anymore.

First of all before you get into someplace that the average user should not be! Have you installed all of the drivers from dells site for your system aka lan drivers and wireless drivers chipset drivers?

Please go here and download the chipset lan and wireless drivers then come back after they are installed!

when i was installing the drivers and utilities cd the blue one i saw where i had  to install the wireless network drivers

i installed all the cds i had that came with the computer and thats about it i got the laptop a few weeks ago so i thikn the cds are relavtively new

It's highly unlikely the ones on the CD are up-to-date, so you should always check for/download the latest drivers available on the Dell website, rather than use the ones supplied on the CD ;)
